How To Increase Your Energy

A few years ago, I was in a rut and it wasn’t pretty.

I worked long hours in the corporate world in a job that no longer served me and played hard to compensate.

The cycle was ‘text book’ – keep going, get ahead, don’t complain, don’t show weakness, numb out and repeat. We’ve all been there, right?

As you know, this didn’t turn out well.

It took a severe illness to give me new life.

I woke up one morning with the left side of my body totally numb. An MRI scan revealed a brain abscess the size of a small golf ball that was crushing my nervous system. It left me partly paralysed.

Fortunately, the condition was treatable. I made a full recovery and walked out of the hospital 3 weeks later.

The experience was a huge wake-up call and widely documented, so I’ll move quickly to the good stuff…

Shortly after, I took a life-mastery course to boost my mental, spiritual and physical vitality. I mean…who doesn’t want someone you can turn to help you prosper and feel good, right?

Vitality is our oxygen. Plus, it’s just plain smart to keep our energy and spirits high. After all, no need to struggle through your day feeling low on energy, especially if you can do something about it.

But most of us find it challenging to maintain high energy because:

1. Successful people are often really, really busy. It’s not that they’re ungenerous — but, like all of us, they’re doing their best to manage extremely full schedules and the day-to-day demands of their life, work and family.

2. “How can I stay healthy and energized?” can be one of the most dreaded and awkward questions ever, because it requires self-discipline. Ouch!
